The new version of CameraRC Deluxe now supports OSX 10-11 (El Capitan). We also have added a number of enhancements and fixed a couple of important bugs. See the Release Notes for more details on the release.
We are happy to announce that CameraRC Deluxe now supports the El Capitan release of OSX. We thank everyone for their patience in waiting for us to complete the update – it is very important to us to spend significant time testing the major changes that were required. The new Version is available for immediate download. Note that El Capitan does not support the D40, D40X, D60, D80, and D200; CameraRC will continue to support these camera models but only on versions of OSX prior to El Capitan.
A new version of CameraRC Deluxe was released today that fixes a couple of crash situations seen on Windows 10 systems that were using DirectX 12. If you were getting “Exception:Cannot create texture for ‘TCanvasD2D’ ” errors then this release should fix those problems – if you continue to see the problems them please contact us at support. See the Release Notes for more details on the release.
Nikon today released their new SDKs that support El Capitan. The new SDKs support all previous Nikon Cameras except the D40, D40X, D60, D80, and D200. Here at CameraRC we are planning to release the update to support El Capitan in our Deluxe Edition sometime in January of 2016. We have quite a bit of work to do both to integrate with the new SDK and test the updates. If you would like to be notified when support is ready or help in our BETA testing please sign up on our El Capitan mailing list.
We have release an update to CameraRC Deluxe that makes some improvements in the windows handling and file naming when using the camera derived name/path. Also a couple of bug fixes. See the Release Notes for more details.
We have been investigating issues with getting CameraRC Deluxe to connect cameras on OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) and have determined this is an issue with compatibility between the Nikon provided SDK and the OSX operating system. It appears that the Nikon libraries will no longer connect to the cameras. From what we can tell CameraRC Deluxe is not the only program facing this issue, we have seen reports that other tethering solutions are having a similar problem (http://nikonrumors.com/2015/10/05/tethering-nikon-cameras-with-lightroom-6cc-2015-on-el-capitan-os-is-not-working.aspx/).
For the latest information on El Capitan support see our UPDATE.
